What is 14-19?
Welcome to Trafford’s 14-19 website. The website will offer you easy access to other key 14-19 sites and will provide you with a picture of some of the developments happening nationally and locally in Trafford.
14-19 is about our young people in Trafford and the opportunities and experiences they are involved with, in order to achieve success. We want to work with our young people on 14-19 developments to inform our future developments.
14-19 does not just start at 14 but builds on what has been happening at KS3.
14-19 is about:
- the range of learning opportunities available
- the support young people get to achieve and engage
- the transition process to ensure young people are informed and supported
- progression
We will see:
- young people being involved in learning on different sites
- learning at a pace appropriate to them
- taking qualifications when they are ready
- being involved in a range of programmes that are flexible and appropriate
